Domestic Violence Interpreting
Compass Interpreters staff complete a two hour program to learn the complexities of interpreting for victims of Domestic or Sexual Violence. This training was made possible by an Office of Violence Against Women grant the Refugee Center received to increase the awareness of this issue in the refugee communities and help victims better access services.
Compass Interpreters regularly works with the Family Court system and provides interpreters for hearings. Interpreters also work with the local YWCA and other provides that assist domestic violence victims.
